Mr. M. Keivom assumed charge as Ambassador of India to the Republic of Djibouti on 21 December 2024. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Director in the Counter-Terrorism Division of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi for two and half years.
He has joined Ministry of External Affairs in August 1991 and has a varied and rich experience of 33 + years in the Indian Foreign Service. He has previously served in different capacities both at headquarters and in Indian Missions abroad in Maldives (Male: 1995-1999); Japan (Tokyo: 2001-2005); Botswana (Gaborone: 2007-2010); Italy (Rome: 2010-2013); Nepal (2016-2019); United Kingdom (London: 2019-2022). He has also served, inter alia, in Political, Administration, Education and Consular Wings at the Indian Missions in Rome, Kathmandu and London.
